Hi there,
I
followed the story from the start and I also know the lady who was
directly insulted. You should be aware that the Indian lady does not own
Pronto Pizza. The establishment actually belongs to her sister. So it
is unfair to drag the sister into all this as she had nothing to do with
any of it. Might I suggest that you speak directly to those actually
involved in the whole thing? Their names are on the screenshots you
posted on your blog, so I am sure you can contact them on Facebook.
I
think it is important that correct information is spread without
hurting those who are completely innocent. Please do not incite people
to boycott Pronto Pizza, as it would be baseless, and injurious to the
sister.
And just to be clear, I do not know the
Indian lady or any of her family members, but I do know the lady who was
insulted and she got her apology and has moved on. She did not open a
police case. But if there are other such cases, and I am told there are,
then perhaps your blog can be a forum for people to openly discuss
racism in Tanzania. It appears there is a deep need to have civil
conversations, without inciting hate, on racism in Tanzania.
Thanks
