Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (CHADEMA) kimepokea kwa mshtuko mkubwa taarifa ya kupigwa risasi Mwanasheria Mkuu wa Chama ambaye pia ni Mnadhimu wa Kambi Rasmi ya Upinzani Bungeni na Mbunge wa Singida Mashariki, Mhe. Tundu Antipus Lissu baada ya kikao cha Bunge mchana wa leo.

Shambulio hilo limetokea majira ya mchana nyumbani kwake Area D Dodoma na kujeruhiwa vibaya na kukimbizwa katika Hosiptali ya Mkoa wa Dodoma.

CHADEMA tunalaani vikali kitendo hicho, na tunafuatilia kwa karibu hali yake.

Taarifa zaidi zitaendelea kutolewa.

Preliminary Press Statement on the incidence of Hon. Tundu Lissu being shot

Chama cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (CHADEMA) has received with great shock the report on the shooting of the Attorney General of the Party who is also the Chief Whip of the Official Opposition in Parliament and MP of Singida East, Hon. Tundu Antipus Lissu just after a Parliamentary session today.

The attack took place at his Dodoma residence at midday and was seriously wounded and had been rushed to the Dodoma Regional Hospital.

CHADEMA strongly condemns this act, and we are following up closely on his condition.

We will continue to update as we get more information.
