The winner of Miss Tanzania 2014, Sitti Mtemvu has created a huge controversy in the media.

The controversies started during the Q&A round when she was announced as one of the top 5 finalists. All the contestants were given an option to answer either in Swahili or English, Sitti chose to speak in English however while answering she struggled to answer and started speaking in FRENCH. No one understood what she answered and everyone was shocked. If that wasn't enough of a shocker Sitti was announced as the Winner, while the girl who was the crowd favorite JINAH DAMECKH was announced as the 2nd runner up.

Sitti was booed by the live audience and the social media went on fire where everyone complained about the results being rigged as she comes from a strong political background, her father is a Member of the Parliament.
Another controversy soon started when it was found that Sitti has a Master's degree from a University in Texas while her age was mentioned as 18. This raised alot of queries on how could a 18 year old have a Master's degree

Upon realizing the controversies surrounding the winner of Miss Tanzania, the committee decided to clear the air and announced Sitti's real age as 23, just when things were calming down, someone traced out the copies of Sitti's passport and Texan driver's license where her DOB is listed as 31 May 1989 which makes her 25 YEARS OLD

Things got further complicated when someone asked Sitti's mother, who confirmed she was born in 1985 which makes her 29 years old
. Some blogs have even claimed that Sitti has a six year old son 
The age requirement to join Miss Tanzania competition is between 18 to 23 years which Sitti has already passed, she will most probably be dethroned. Miss Tanzania Committee is going to give out a statement in the press conference today. Some blogs have mentioned the inside sources say Jinah is most likely going to represent Tanzania in Miss World 2015 however nothing is official until it is announced by Miss Tanzania committee.
